Plant life: Page One

The Mist Pear can be found in most countries within  temperate climate if you just know where to look.

You will need to find a place with lots of water, like near a lake or a river. You have bigger luck in places often covered in mist, hence the name.

Mist pears grow in the late winter and early spring, and some years even a few weeks during the fall. Years with lots of water will see a larger amount of mist pears growing.

So knowing where to look is fine and all, but when can you eat them?

Well nature is nature, and it’s hardly ever giving out dates beforehand.

I will say just look at them. The mist pears appear slightly white as they grow, but when their colour turns to a slighty cyan colour you can usually start eating them.

Many people will argue that the scent of the pear itself becomes slightly sweeter when they are ‘perfect’.

When you do eat them you might be surprised at how the texture feels. This really isn’t as surprising as such, seeing that they mainly contain water. Again, hence the name.
